The posting conundrum

Okay, so I’ve hit my “slacker” section of my posting. There’s actually a good reason for it, too.

Privacy.

How much does one say on a public blog? And can I make posts about work? Probably not. I’m sure there’s plenty of things I do at work that I’d love to blog about. All the little programming bits and pieces would make for interesting reading. But I get paid to do that. It’s technically not my code to share. I can only share my own code that isn’t used for work. (Or is no longer used at work due to updates/upgrades). I rarely code outside of work anymore (the whole “working with what you love makes it just another job” attitude really does work in this instance)

Then there’s the stuff at home that I could blog about. Sometimes I would have to make it seem very vague just to keep a measure of privacy, not only for myself but for my family and friends.

Ack! So what can I blog about that would be interesting and yet maintain a measure of privacy?

It’s something to think about over the next few months. Is it even worth keeping one if I can’t share it with others without fear of being fired or harassed? I’m sure the one or two of you who actually read this thing probably don’t care all that much.
