There would never be a reason to talk to any historical person for advice. Anything that person would say would be outdated and wrong for the current time period. Social mores, cultural oddities and variance in language and non-verbal communication would make a conversation more like a historical lesson in what not to do.

Worse are those people who believe they already know what their historical advocate would say and do. They pre-judge their historical "heroes" with their own current ideas and never take into account that "times were different back then."

If I absolutely had to choose someone, however, I'd have probably chosen someone like Bohr or Darwin, just to see how they handled scientific progress in their time. But I wouldn't ask their advice.

The world needed a hero, but Jason wasn't it. He was just the hired help.

Stuck in a underground bunker the shade of high-class mud, he checked his pistol, exchanging the empty clip for a fresh one. Quick-checking the next turn, he didn't hear the hiss of the teleport behind him.

A click against the back of his neck stopped him in his tracks. He froze, resisted the urge to spin, and put his hands to his head.

"You thought you could stop her, did you?" The accent was thick and barely comprehensible through the rage, but the message itself was loud and clear. "This is my Queen's world now, and I will give her all of it!"

"Arianna is already gone, Rocco," he said through grinning teeth. The gun at his head shifted slightly, unsure. "You didn't think I was alone, did you? It's over. The job is done. You don't have any way of calling Strega up now." Jason shifted his balance slightly. "And I'm sure that bitch is not going to be happy about it. Not one bit."

He lunged to the side, kicking his leg out and snapping Rocco's knee sideways, and then fled the screams.

Below is a video of all the asteroids discovered from 1980 to 2010. Around the 1990 mark, large swaths of asteroids were being discovered by automated system.

I don’t think either of those two things are more important than the other. Where you live tends to directly influence what you do for a living, and vice-versa.

I think it matters who is in your life, what you are doing with your life, and is what you do in your life rewarding or personally satisfying. The “where you live” part tends to take care of itself. (meaning, you tend to move when you get a new job, and vice-versa.)

In other news, I have a lot of stuff to blog about but not much time. Lots of work related stuff. Could be good, could be bad. I’m just so wore-out from working non-stop with PowerSchool that I’m too tired to do much more than answer a Plinky post. Can’t even keep up with the news anymore.
